56 wood pieces and 1000 (give or take) screws, pegs and drawer slides.
You probably know a couple of those woman…the Renaissance type. I know a handful. Always impressive. Inspiring. I’m not defining traditionally- the well educated, multi-talented boss-lady women. Thank goodness there are so many of us now. You know the kind—the ones that do those things not typically entertained by many women….the ones that…
- build their own camping trailer from a kit
- reconfigure their trailer and pull it across country
- wield and ax to chop their own wood and plow their own driveway
- travel all over the world solo
- stand alone after being thrust into independence after a spouse’s death.
- teach themselves to play drums and start an all girl band
- is a huntress who dress her own game
The boldness, no questioning, run with an idea-I clearly wasn’t raised that way. My upbringing was more staying inside the lines and the times. The “times” were before women could have credit cards. Depending on your age, I’m old-ish.
Maybe I have taken a step closer. It’s an individual thing. I wrote and self published a novel (see below). I planned a 2000 mile move, scheduled that move, packed for the move. It sounds wanny, but I recently put together wire storage shelves and closet organizers. I am damn proud.
I stepped out of my lines. I grew a few new neuron pathways in this brain of mine.
We are all brave in our ways. We are all Renaissance women if we give ourselves some credit.
Step out. Acknowledge it. Own it. List a few Renaissance traits you have. It feels marvelous.
